I must admit, I’ve been pretty excited about my blog .. . nay, even a tad obsessive.
Well, a certain someone noticed . . . someone who has been resisting writing assignments.
Lo and behold, Orion has started a blog. I try to assign him at least 30 minutes of free writing each week, and I wasnt asking to see it, but now I can spy on him! Finally, some ‘not-pushing’ paid off 🙂
And he doesnt even know he’s learning!

Great idea! I have also been considering this for some time with Yahya, but he has yet to learn to type.

I got a typing tutor program for Orion when he was in 4th grade, because writing was such a struggle for him. He wrote much longer assignments when he was allowed to type them. i hear there are some good free on-line ones, now . . . i think there is a brittish one which is highly recommended.

We have Mavis Beacon and I will schedule him for it soon. I still need for him to practice his handwriting though. Personally, I feel like he needs to work on it a bit longer.

Little? Hah! You must not have seen the pic in “One son off and one son on” – he’s only 2 inches shorter than I am!
